After I peeled off their jammies, we had a bath. Boopity screamed through the whole thing but didn't fight me as I scrubbed her down from head to toe. Boop was content to lounge in the bubbles while I dressed her sister, including brushing her hair and putting in a top knot to keep the bangs out of her eyes. When it was her turn, she cooperated nicely. I'm so happy that they let us put in top knots now and don't just rip them out of their hair immediately. They have such pretty little faces, its nice to be able to see them.
It was cool and sunny this morning but supposed to get quite warm; up to 70! It was hard to choose the proper outfits for the girls but in the end, we found some dresses. The morning went smoothly: potty training continued apace. Eventually, we went outside, as the morning was too beautiful to spend indoors. Yesterday, we went out barefoot but today they put on their fashion boots. Boop even managed to get them on the right feet. (Boopity didn't but she didn't seem to mind at all).
They ran all over the yard, collecting sticks to put in their grocery cart, which of course, they fought over. At one point, they pushed it the width of the yard together but Boop decided she preferred driving it alone and shoved Boopity aside. Boopity objected but it all worked out in the end.
They spent a half an hour chasing a large dragon fly that seemed to enjoy buzzing the yard between the altitudes of 1 and 10 feet. They kept yelling "wey dit go?" with arms spread and then "they did!!" and chasing it wildly. The insect seemed to be having as much fun as they were.
Inside, we ate hard boiled eggs, bananas and toast with jam for lunch. After a rousing game of peek-a-boo where they hid behind the end of the couch, I wrestled them into bed for their naps.
So far, so good.
