Q: Several of my old photos have gotten stuck to the glass in their frames. How can I remove the pictures without harming them?
A: If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times; Don’t put your photos in wet frames!
Q: My daughter bought a wooden kitchen cart that has a top drawer with no tracks so it’s hard to open and close. Can you suggest a way to make it glide more easily?
A: WD40. Do you live in a cave?
Q: The grout on my tiled bathroom floor is dirty in the high traffic areas. I spilled a little peroxide on the floor and it made the grout look clean and white. Is this a safe way to clean the rest of it?
A: OH MY GOD, NO! Do you have ANY IDEA what that will do to your tile!!?? Just kidding. Sure, go ahead and use peroxide. You know what else works? Ammonia, OxiClean, warm water…pretty much any soap at all, you just need to mop that floor more often than once a decade but really, who cares? It’s the bathroom, right? If it were the kitchen, I’d have called you a pig and recommended you mop that floor at least once a month. Especially if you fry a lot.
