Here's the thing: Mom (virus positive) is Dad's primary care giver. At a routine doctor visit 2 weeks ago now, mom's bloodwork was terrible. Far worse than it should have been, given her seemingly healthy condition. We now know it was the virus suppressing her system. My point is this: for a full week while already infected, she was taking care of Dad; bathing him, eating with him, tucking him into bed at night. No social distancing. Yet he remains completely asymptomatic. He's fine. Why is he fine??
I asked him Margy's question and he said "Oh, yeah! I remember being in Hawaii and they made me get a whole raft of shots and immunizations before I went to southeast Asia!"
Hmmm...
Likewise, my brother Joe, who is a pilot, has continued to work and feel fine throughout this ordeal. As a Naval officer he too was vaccinated for malaria.
None of this explains why I'm fine.
Except that this thing may have begun with bats and I'm immune to rabies.
Whatever; I feel as good as a person who only got four hours of sleep last night can feel.
I'm too busy to worry about that.
