Young men!
Do NOT attack people. That creepy little dude you think might be following you just may be armed. He may be a martial arts expert. He may be a woman with a tazer. You think because you are young, strong and male that you are impervious to harm. You are not.
Do NOT, under any circumstances, attack police officers. Whether daily life is over regulated, whether there are too many laws on the books, whether the police have been militarized or not, whether or not they have staged a drug raid on the wrong address and are messing up your stuff; if you attack a police officer; he has the right to shoot you dead and has been trained to do so.
Young women!
Do not get hammered or wasted. When you over indulge in recreational chemicals, you not only impair your own judgment, you render yourself helpless. Don’t drink too much and never, ever drink from a glass if you don’t know for a fact what’s in it.
Show a little modesty. If it must stay covered at the beach, keep it covered while out on a Friday night.
Don’t make a habit of hooking up with guys you just met; some of them might start to think they’re just waiting their turn. In short, don’t behave like a whore giving out freebies; eventually, some man will treat you like one.
Listen up: the world is not going to look out for you. That’s your job. All of you. The good news is when you take responsibility for yourself, its much harder for others to take advantage of you or hurt you.
As for blaming the victim; if you don't want to get shot, don't wear an antler hat in the woods during deer season.
Someone had to say it.
