She has already attended Kindergarten Round Up, where she had a terrific time and totally killed it. She's getting bigger, smarter and more grown up every day so the time has come to stop referring to her as "Babydoll".
She's still a doll but she's not a baby anymore.
A few months back, she and I were on the porch trying to decide which movie to watch. She asked me about several of the titles I had on hand. She was fascinated by the picture of Smaug on my Hobbit bookmark and wanted to see that movie.
"I don't know, it's pretty scary." I said . "Although, you love the Wizard of Oz and that movie is scary."
"The Wizard of Oz isn't scary!" she protested.
"You don't think the Great and Terrible Oz is scary?" I asked. "What about the Wicked Witch? The flying monkeys?"
Once while watching the movie, she had said to me about those monkeys; "I don't know what it is, but there's something wrong about those guys."
I said "They're monkeys with wings. Everything is wrong about those guys."
But on this day, she thought about my accusations of scariness, set her face firmly and said "I would fight all those guys!"
That's my girl.
From now on, I shall refer to her as Xena. Warrior Princess.
Happy Birthday!
