Every time it storms these days, the weather men encourage hysteria and I'm really sick of it. I'm not afraid of thunder and lightening. If there are funnel clouds, sound the siren and maybe I'll go in the basement but don't bother trying to scare me with thunder. Storms are not any fiercer or more frequent than they were a half a century ago, no matter what the alarmists would have you believe.
The humidity broke after the last storm so I didn't even turn the A.C. on the last few days, despite temps that got into the high 80s. After mostly taking last week off, I thought I'd get more work done this week but I haven't. I've been sort of lazy and I like it.
The sun is setting and the sky is orange. It's insanely beautiful and even though it happens every night, I can't take my eyes off it. It's setting quite a bit earlier than it did a month ago, but the sun is still going down north of the smoke stack across the street so I'm not bothered by the time. There's still a lot of summer left.
I went up to Katie's house on Wednesday.
Oh, my company arrived, I gotta go!
